The Little Blue Light
Once upon a time, there was a tiny firefly named Sparky. He lived in a big green forest full of tall trees and colorful flowers. All the other fireflies loved to light up the night sky with their bright yellow lights. But Sparky's light was different. His light was a very soft and gentle blue.
The other fireflies often laughed at Sparky. "Your light is so weak," they said. "It's like a little blue whisper in the dark." Sparky felt sad. He wanted to shine brightly like his friends. He tried and tried, but his light always stayed a soft gentle blue.
One night, a tiny, lost bird named Pip was flying through the forest. The night was very dark, and Pip was scared. He couldn't find his way home. He flew past all the bright yellow lights, but they were too strong for his small eyes. They made him dizzy.
Suddenly, Pip saw a soft, blue light in the distance. It was Sparky! The gentle blue light didn't hurt Pip's eyes. He could follow it easily. Sparky saw the little bird and understood he was lost. He flew slowly, leading Pip through the dark trees and back to his nest.
When they arrived, Pip's mother thanked Sparky. "Your light is perfect," she said. "It was the only one that could guide my little bird home." Sparky's heart filled with joy. He realized that being different was not a bad thing. His special blue light was not weak; it was kind and helpful.
From that day on, Sparky was proud of his blue light. He continued to use it to help other lost creatures in the forest. And all the other fireflies learned a very important lesson: what makes you different is what makes you special.
